How to Replace:

• 1. Get the valve cover off. Remove injectors and ignition coils.
• 2. Remove 2 injector housings on the actuator motor sides.
• 3. Remove the little bolt and bracket of the actuator motor.
• Note: Be careful not to drop anything down in the engine bay.
• 4. Remove the minimum stopper, then start rotating the gear so can get space to remove the motor.
• 5. Be careful and gently rotate, otherwise, it will cause damage to the parts.
• 6. Remove the motor bolts. Gently slide it out, and install a new one.

What can go wrong with Valvetronic systems?
In most cases, the repair is difficult, time-consuming, and expensive, but whatever the cause of a binding or sticking eccentric shaft, the typical symptoms of a binding or sticking eccentric shaft could include one or more of the following-

• Illuminated MIL lamp that may or may not be flashing;
• Varying degrees of power loss;
• Rough idling/running at some engine speeds;
• Excessive fuel consumption;
• A hard-start or a no-start condition may be present;
• Since mechanical noises may or may not be present, an absence of mechanical noises should not be taken as an absence of evidence that there might be a mechanical fault present.
